Joshua serviced our water heater this morning. He was friendly, professional and explained everything. I have used Point Loma Electric, Plumbing, Drains, and Water Heaters for many years. They always provide outstanding service and I trust them with my home.

The task of moving two outlets went flawlessly. As usual Johnny did an excellent job. We have had him perform previous electrical tasks and in each case he is an excellent electrician. He is very courteous, personable, and easy to work with. He clearly tells us what is going to be done and keeps us informed all along the way.

I needed to have a 17 year old, gas-fired, 40 gallon water heater replaced after it sprung a leak. The lead-time for the next available appointment was bearable, as I did not treat it as an emergency. I had worked with the electric side of this company in the past and they are worth the wait. They dispatched James Partridge , who texted his picture and ETA, and he arrived on time. Since my old installation did not meet current code, he talked me through the items he needed to upgrade during the process, which made sense for my historic home. He gave me a quote 20% less than I feared it would be, and started removing the old equipment. His team delivered the new equipment and hauled away the broken stuff, and their coordination was greatly appreciated. He worked continuously and paid attention to detail along the way. The job is complete within a day, and the way he planned and positioned the components within the limited space is a work of art, all done within the original quote. I am extremely satisfied.

Aaron Cortez arrived on time. He was professional and knew exactly what the problem was within minutes. He was able to get my home up and running within about 25 minutes. I highly recommend him and consider Point Loma Electric my new go-to service from now on.

I smelled gas at my kitchen stove. The appliance repair person checked out the gas controls and suggested I have a plumber check the gas hose connector to the wall. I called Pt Loma and Emilio replaced the corroded gas hose. He leak checked both hose connections by the bubble method. The next day I could still smell gas. Emilio returned and double checked his work. Now I have purchased a gas leak detector. It verified Emilios work , but detected a leak in the appliance.

Javier did a great job at troubleshooting why our flood lights weren’t working. He methodically went through some steps and discovered it was actually one of the lights shorting out.

Lalo fixed my lighting and answered all my questions. He also stayed and waited for the motion sensors to turn off to ensure the work was properly done right. Much appreciated.

Point Loma Electric Technician Javier Gonzales did a brilliant job in analyzing and planning for a major upgrade to my fireplace. I’m going to be installing a new full gas fireplace insert. This requires (among other things) that a special metal electrical conduit outlet be installed within the brick fireplace with installation holes that have to be routed and drilled through the brick fireplace structure. In addition, I requested that Javier review several problem electrical outlets throughout my 50 year old house. He found three outlets that are not up to code that will be replaced and upgraded on his next visit. He expertly diagnosed a tricky problem in my hallway light that has bothered me for many years. The circuit turned out to have had been incorrectly wired during original installation coupled with corroded and failed wiring in the overhead hall light fixture itself. All through the servicing and site survey, Javier was very courteous and professional. Thank you again for the great work!
